Spirit Lake fire damages mobile home

Firefighters from three North Idaho fire departments helped subdue a fire at a mobile home Saturday.

Just after 3 p.m. four fire units and an ambulance were dispatched to a blaze on Snickers Lane near Spirit Lake, said Spirit Lake Deputy Fire Chief Earl Frates.

No one was injured. Emergency personnel from Spirit Lake Fire Department, with the assistance of crews from Northern Lakes and Timber Lakes fire districts, knocked down the flames after about 10 minutes, he said.

Smoke and water damaged most of the structure, though.

"I think it's a loss," Frates said.
