Fatal mobile home fire deemed accidental
Investigators on Thursday determined that a
fatal mobile home fire in Orange County the
night before was accidental.
The mobile home in the 1200 block of Beaver
Street was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters
with Orange County Emergency District One arrived
about 3:45 a.m., Fire Chief Scott Kerwood said.
The name of the 55-year-old man who died in
the fire was being withheld until relatives
were notified.
He died of carbon monoxide inhalation, Kerwood
said.
The fire completely destroyed the mobile home
and an adjacent travel trailer.
No other injuries were reported.
